Drive home the 2020 Kia Forte near Toronto ONMar 26th, 2020
The popular 2019 Kia Forte benefited from exciting updates throughout with the debut of the model’s third generation. While the 2020 model is only one year removed from these major improvements, Kia has made a few significant updates that you should learn about before purchasing a new compact car. Specifically, the Kia Forte S is no longer available. The Kia Forte GT-Line and GT are new to the trim lineup. For 2020, the trim lineup from the base level up is the FE, the LXS, the GT-Line, the EX, the GT and the GT Manual.
If you decide to drive home in the 2020 Forte GT-Line, your new car will be powered by a 2.0-liter engine that produces 147 horsepower. The performance will be elevated by equipment like an intelligent variable transmission with Sportmatic, front-wheel drive, MacPherson front struts, a unibody construction, twin tube shock absorbers and a coupled torsion beam rear axle. On the exterior, the GT-Line is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels with a machine finish, a glossy black spoiler, a similar finish on the bumper inserts, chrome exhaust tips foglamps, perimeter lighting and other items. Some of the standout interior features in the GT-Line include an upgraded speaker system, a D-shaped leather steering wheel with white accent stitching, available ambient lighting, a leather-wrapped gear shifter, a push-button starter with an engine immobilizer and a few other features that may not be available in other trims.
The new 2020 Kia Forte GT, on the other hand, has a 1.6-liter turbo engine combined with a dual-clutch 7-speed auto transmission featuring paddle shifters. It also comes with a sport-tuned exhaust and a multi-link rear suspension, and it delivers 201 horsepower. The Forte GT’s exterior is loaded with 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a comparable spoiler and bumper inserts as are found on the GT-Line, dual chrome exhaust tips, perimeter lighting, foglamps and more. Inside, the Forte GT has special features like red accent stitching on the flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, Sofino sport seats with red accent stitching and other items.
