The K5 GT is the only K5 trim to support glorious 19-inch alloy wheels. That’s a big step up from the base level LX trim, which only sports 16-inch wheels. Drive in bold style thanks to these large wheel options.
LED lights abound across the K5 GT, providing not only a sleek style but safe illumination that keeps everything around you lit up for both driver and others on the road. LED daytime running lights, LED positioning lights and LED rear combination lamps find themselves at home, like on many of the other trims, but dual-function LED headlights and LED fog lights are only found on the K5 GT trim.
The way the GT helps differentiate itself from some of the lower K5 trim levels like the LX and EX is through the many sport features that adorn the exterior. This includes a black grille, sport grille, rear spoiler and silver skid plates. The GT-Line also shares those sporty elements, but it’s only the GT that has a can’t-miss dual muffler supporting the dynamic rear.

True interior sport style and feeling is only brought forth by the GT trim. It’s the only one of the K5 trims to support these front sport bucket seats, which will truly make you feel like you’re about to head onto a racetrack.
It’s not just about style in the K5 GT, but about maximizing the driver and passenger comfort experience as well. Heated front seats are found on every trim, but the GT trim also adds on heated rear seats and air-cooled front seats, allowing you and your passengers to sit in comfort no matter the season.
Just like the exterior of the GT was upgraded to be even more sporty, so was the interior. Highlighted sport interior features include a sport steering wheel in a dynamic D-shape, along with stainless steel sport pedals that provide a cool look and and a solid grip.

The upgraded engine of the GT is, perhaps, where the vehicle truly shines over its lesser trims, it being the only trim with this engine. That Theta 2.5L-III Turbo GDI produces 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, which is greatly above the 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque produced by the base 1.6L Gamma-II Turbo GDI engine.
Unlike the lower trim levels of the LX, EX and GT-Line K5 models, the K5 GT does not have all-wheel drive, instead coming with front-wheel drive. Traditional of sport models like this, the FWD on this performance car makes it the perfect option to break out during our long summer months.

A 6-speaker audio system is present on the lower three trims, but not on the GT, it gets an even more premium system. A Bose premium sound system is exclusive to this top level trim, providing you with the best in audio quality.
The 10.25-inch multimedia interface on the K5 gives you 2.25 more inches of screen space than on the 8-inch systems of the LX and EX. Not only that but it also included integrated navigation, easily helping you find your next destination.
The Supervision instrument cluster upgrade on the GT compared to the lower trim levels is a big deal, here boasting a 12.3-inch display against the 4.2-inch version on the LX, EX and GT-Line.
The K5 GT contains the vast majority of the safety features that the lower trim levels have, and has a few that not all of those lower models do. Safe Exit Warning is on the LX and EX, but the GT provides an upgrade in the form of the Safe Exit Assist System to ensure you can exit the vehicle without hassle.
Parking Collision Avoidance Assist – Reverse is only found on the GT trim. Filled with an abundance of helpful parking tech, this one is incredibly important in helping you avoid obstacles in your way when reversing, a tough position to park where you can easily miss impediments, but not with this system.
